During the Month of October, the City of Conway, SC transforms into the City of Halloween, SC. Then, the City becomes a haven for Spooky Season Activities, including Markets, Ghost Walks, and Movies under the Stars. As a Result, The City of Conway is fast becoming a Destination for Folks looking to participate is some Fantastic, Family Friendly Halloween Events and Fun in South Carolina. A Fact that we are truly happy about.
Most of the South Carolina River Town’s 2025 Halloween Events and Decorations are located within 5 square blocks. Therefore, the festivities cover much of the Downtown District, including City Hall, Main Street, and the Riverwalk area. Parts of the Displays are visible from the roadways, while driving. However, there is lots of free parking. This gives you the opportunity to become immersed in these wonderful displays. The city is also offering a Ticketed Haunted Experience this year. Additionally, they have partnered with a Company to offer Halloween Pirate Adventures along the Waccamaw River. Tickets for your Pirate Adventure are available for purchase under the Main Street Bridge.
Our Family set out to explore the City of Halloween, SC on October 5, 2025. We were excited to see all of the Fantastic Displays. We loved the tributes that they included for some of the Icons that passed away in 2025. Our Family was happy to see that they included some of our Favorites like, the Headless Horseman, Hocus Pocus, and Pirates. The Hocus Pocus display even included our favorite quote from the movie, “I Smell Children”. I Loved the Pumpkin in the center of the Town Green. It reminded me of the Pumpkin from the movie, “Halloweentown”. The Pumpkin Display near the Main Street Bridge was cool, featuring Pumpkins crafted by Local Residents.
