On April 19, 2025, we were spending some relaxing time in Daytona Beach, enjoying the beautiful ocean views from A1A, as well as shopping at one of our favorite local stores, Salty Dog Surf Shop. We decided to have lunch at a place that we had talked about trying in trips past, but had yet to do so: Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse. It is conveniently located on Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach, FL. An added Bonus for us was that Pumphouse was also a 2025 Jeep Beach Rated Restaurant.
About, Location, and Atmosphere of Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse

Established in 2018, Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse is located in the building of a once abandoned gas station. And not just any gas station, Ormond Beach’s Original Gas Station. The Restaurant can be described as a fast-casual dining establishment. It’s Cuisine combines the rich tradition of Texas-style Barbecue with flavorful twists and Southeastern influences. Be sure to check out the Pumphouse BBQ Website for information on Hours, Menu Updates, Online Ordering, and More.
The Restaurant features seating options for many sized parties, and has three dining area sections. Some of their tables offer all chair seating, while others feature a bench on one side and chairs on the other. The theming and decor of the restaurant is a wonderful combination of modern and rustic. The Interior design features lots of reclaimed woods and metal. The decor also features some nice nods to the buildings past as a gas station with touches showcasing the Texaco Brand. Be sure to check out the Awesome Old-Timey Gas Pumps that are located outside of the Building.

Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse does have a decent amount of seating on the inside. However, their on-site parking is extremely limited. If you wish to visit this restaurant, you may have to park in a neighboring parking area, if permitted, and walk to the restaurant.

Meal Thoughts
When we arrived, we were told that we could sit wherever we would like. We choose a table near the entrance. Our Server greeted us quickly after we sat down. We asked our Server if they had any specials going on that gave back to the Jeep Beach Charities. He said that he was not sure, but he would check. He came back a few minutes later with our drinks and told us that ever purchase of the Triple B Burger during the week of Jeep Beach would donate a Dollar to the Jeep Beach Charities.

The Triple B! Burger features their handmade 1/2 LB. Beef Patty with Pepper Jack Cheese, Chopped Lettuce, House-Made Pickles, Sauteed Bacon, and Brisket, topped with their house-made 1000 Island Dressing on a Brioche Bun. This Burger also won them the 2024 Ormond Burger Week Best Burger Award.
We all choose to order this burger, but to have the Brisket swapped for the Pulled Pork. Mama and I both ordered ours with no Cheese, Pickles, or Dressing. I also asked for no Lettuce on mine. Daddy ordered his as it came. When they bought our food out, Mama and I found that they had put Dressing on both of our burgers. We told our server and he had them fixed promptly. We all like this burger. Our Family felt that the burgers had a good flavor. The pulled pork was very good. We felt like this may have been our favorite pulled pork in the Daytona Beach area.

All Burgers at Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse come with two sides. Mama and Daddy both choose to have French Fries and Mac & Cheese for their sides. They both enjoyed their sides and said they would consider getting them again in the future. I choose to get French Fries and Fried Onion Strings for my sides. I enjoyed them both and would get them again on a future visit. Though they do offer Cobbler as a Side, we choose not to get any dessert on this visit. If you would prefer Ice Cream for Dessert, Pumphouse does share a parking lot with Neighborhood Scoop Ice Cream & Boba Tea.
Final Thoughts
We absolutely enjoyed our First Visit to Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse. The Staff was Friendly, Helpful, Welcoming, and never made us feel rushed. The Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Even though we did have an issue with our order, the Staff made sure that it was fixed quickly and were extremely apologetic about it. The Menu featured a Large Variety of Options to choose from with Wonderful Service.

Our Family arrived at Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse at 11:45 am. We were seated, ordered, ate, and had finished our meal by 1:00 pm. We enjoyed a leisure scrumptious meal while chatting about our trip and spending time together with no rush.
Our Family would consider eating at Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse again in the future. If you are in the Ormond Beach area and craving Barbecue, we would encourage you to check them out.
It is an added bonus for us to get to support a company that supports a cause that we believe in, Jeep Beach. That is why eating at a Jeep Beach Rated Restaurant is a 2 for 1 Bonus, Supporting Charity while eating Great Food. Plus, we also get to support Local Businesses. Pumphouse BBQ & Smokehouse was once again in 2025 a Jeep Beach Rated Restaurant, which is an honor given to Restaurants by Jeep Beach to acknowledge that this restaurant is where the locals eat. Most of these Restaurants, like Pumphouse, also offer an Item on their Menu that gives a percentage back to the Jeep Beach Charities, when purchased during Jeep Beach.
A Hui Hou Aku! See You Again Soon!
