The Disney resorts truly go ALL OUT for Christmas! From enormous Christmas trees and incredible gingerbread displays to unique decorations that match the theme and personality of each resort, there is so much holiday magic to experience outside of the theme parks.
Whether you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel or simply taking some time to explore during your vacation, visiting the resorts at Christmas is a must-do during the holiday season.
Here are 6 of our favorite Disney Deluxe Resorts to visit at Christmas!
🎄 Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge may be one of the most magical resorts to visit during the Christmas season. The rustic Pacific Northwest-inspired setting combined with the beautiful holiday decorations creates an incredibly cozy atmosphere.
The resort’s impressive Christmas tree and festive lobby make it a perfect place to slow down and enjoy the holiday spirit.
You will also find some delicious dining options at this beautiful resort, including Whispering Canyon, one of our favorites. Plus, in a addition to Bus Transportation, you can also catch a boat to the Magic Kingdom.
🎄 Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is another one of our favorite places to visit during Christmas at Walt Disney World. The resort is known for its beautiful holiday decorations and seasonal displays.
Be sure to spend some time exploring the lobby and surrounding resort area while taking in all of the Christmas details. The working Gingerbread Carousel is amazing.
Guests of this resort have so many dining options, from it’s own wonderful offerings, including Cape May Cafe, to the restaurants at it’s sister resort, Disney’s Yacht Club, and neighbor resort, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Plus in addition to Disney Bus Transportation, guests can also choose to walk or take a Friendship Boat to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
🎄 Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
For classic and elegant Christmas decor, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is hard to beat.
This beautiful Deluxe Resort is known for its grand holiday decorations and its famous seasonal gingerbread display. The stunning lobby, towering Christmas tree, and festive atmosphere make the Grand Floridian a must-visit during a Walt Disney World Christmas vacation.
The resort also offers a variety of dining options, from Character dining to upscale elegant options. Plus in addition to the Disney Bus Transportation, Guests can also choose to Boat, Walk, or take the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
🎄 Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers a fun and modern take on Christmas at Walt Disney World.
Its unique architecture and holiday displays make this resort a great addition to a Christmas vacation. It’s also conveniently located near Magic Kingdom, making it easy to include during a busy day at Walt Disney World, via a nice walk or monorail ride. It also has some fantastic dining options, including the Contempo Cafe and Chef Mickey’s.

Located near Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort offers another beautiful place to experience the holidays.
The nautical theme gives the resort its own unique Christmas atmosphere, and its location makes it easy to visit both the Yacht Club and Beach Club during the same trip.
Guests of this resort have so many dining options, from it’s own wonderful offerings, including Ale & Compass, to the restaurants at it’s sister resort, Disney’s Beach Club, and neighbor resort, Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge offers one of the most unique holiday experiences at Walt Disney World.
The resort’s African-inspired architecture, beautiful lobby, and festive decorations create a Christmas atmosphere unlike any other Disney Resort. The Gingerbread Animal Displays are fantastic. Be sure to take time to explore the resort and enjoy the incredible surroundings while you’re there.
Why We Love Disney Deluxe Resorts
Beyond the beautiful Christmas decorations, there are several reasons why Disney Deluxe Resorts can make a Walt Disney World vacation even more magical.
Disney Deluxe Resort guests may be eligible for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at select parks on select nights, giving guests additional time in the parks after regular closing.
