We LOVE Racing. So we were excited for the opportunity to attend the 2025 Rolex24 Hours at Daytona International Speedway, the opening race of the 2025 IMSA Season. We attended our first Rolex24 in 2024 and greatly enjoyed it. Due to our primary Daytona Beach, FL Hotel being sold out for the race in 2024 and 2025, we choose to stay at the Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront. We greatly enjoyed our First Stay at the Hotel in 2024, and felt like it would be a Wonderful Home Base for our 2025 Race Weekend.
History of the Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront

The Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront is a member of the Delta Hotels Collection, which is owned by Marriott International. Marriott International acquired the Delta Hotels Brand in 2015. In 2016, a Daytona Beach based company purchased the Alcapulco Hotel Daytona. The Alcapulco was an eight-story hotel that was opened in 1974. The Company choose to close the Alcapulco in early 2017, and set about gutting and rebuilding the Hotels Interior. The Hotel reopened in early 2018, as the Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront.
Amenities
The Hotel features an On-Site Restaurant, Sundry Shop, Fitness Center, Beach Front Access, as well as an Outdoor Pool. It also offers On-Site and Off-Site Parking, both of which are subject to a daily parking fee.
The Hotel’s Lobby Area is large. It offers multiple seating options, including a couch, chairs, and a table. It is a great area to sit and chat or get some work done. Be sure to check out the wall across from the elevators. It features many amazing black and white pictures of Historical Daytona Beach, including some from the early days when they used to auto race on the beach.
The Fitness Center is located on the Hotel’s First Floor. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and features cardio-equipment as well as some Free Weights. The Sundry Shop is a nice size for a Hotel, with good pricing. It is in a small room located just past the check-in desk and features Beverages, Candy, Snacks, and a few Microwavable Meal Options. The Hotel offers an Outdoor Pool and Hot Tub, both of which are heated and is typically open from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm, subject to availability. The Pool Area also features some Fantastic Views of the Ocean. There is also a nice Fire Pit Area that is located near the pool area. Guests will also find Wi-Fi access throughout the Hotel.

On each of the Guest Room Floors, you will find a nook which offers guests a Ice Machine, as well as a Water Bottle Refill Station. Refill Stations, such as this, are Great, because they allow Guests to stay Hydrated, which can be a hard thing to do in the Florida Heat. Plus, by using a Refillable Bottle, you are keeping Plastic Bottles out of our Landfills, and Oceans. It is really a Win-Win Situation. If you are looking for a Refillable Bottle for your trip, we use and recommend Water-to-Go Reusable Water Bottles. We find that the filter makes water taste good, while also removing Bacteria, Parasites, and Viruses. Tip: Put some Ice along with the Water in your bottle and it will keep the Water Colder Longer, plus it gives you more to drink as it melts. Friendly Reminder: You H-2-Owe It to Yourself to Stay Hydrated.

We have not eaten Lunch or Dinner at the restaurant, but would not be opposed to trying it on a future stay, if timing allows.
Meal Thoughts

We had previously eaten breakfast here in 2024, and enjoyed it. So, we decided to eat breakfast at the Oceanview Terrace Bar & Grill again on Saturday, January 25, 2025. We decided to have Orange Juice and Water to start off our Breakfast. We did not get coffee on this trip, but we did in 2024, and found it to be very good. For Our Meals, we all three decided to get the Old Fashioned Pancakes with Seasonal Fruit. Our Breakfast came with two large pancakes with powdered sugar sprinkled over the top. We asked for our Seasonal Fruit to be on the side. Our Seasonal Fruit consisted of Strawberries and Blueberries. We also got some warm syrup on the side. We also each ordered a side of Bacon to go with our Breakfast.
Our Family really enjoyed our breakfast. We found that the Pancakes were served hot, fresh, and had a good flavor. The Bacon was good and crunchy. The Fruit was fresh and had a good flavor. Mama and Daddy both put some syrup on their pancakes. They both enjoyed the syrup and liked the fact that it was served warm. I do not like syrup on my pancakes, but I did use the syrup to sweeten my coffee in 2024, and liked it for that use.

Their Guest Rooms are available with many different features and options including one king or two queen beds, Shower Only or Shower and Tub Combination, High Floor, as well as Oceanfront Rooms or Ocean View Rooms. The Hotel does also offer accessible rooms, and connecting rooms.

Most of their rooms do feature a Balcony. The Guest Rooms are all Non-Smoking, and also feature a desk, complimentary bottled water, Microwave, Mini-Fridge, as well as a Coffee/Tea Maker. We were also pleased by the amount of electrical plugs that we found in the room. When we stayed at the Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront in 2024, we stayed in a 1 King Bed, Ocean View, Guest Room, Shower Only, 1 Twin/Single Sofa Bed Room. We enjoyed this room and loved the space that it gave us. I even found the Sofa Bed to be comfortable. If you would like to see our Tour of this Room, you can check it out by clicking here.
Our Room
For our 2025 stay, we originally booked a 2 Queen Beds, Guest Room. However, a few days before our trip, we received an offer to upgrade to a 2 Queen Beds, Oceanfront View, Guest Room that we accepted. We choose to take this upgrade, because while we would not be in the room much since we would be attending the race, we liked the idea of being able to look out and see the ocean from our balcony. Our Family requested a room on a low floor, and received a room on the second floor. We found the Queen Beds in the room to be very comfortable. We liked that the room had lots of cabinet and storage space. The Bathroom area was large and spacious. And the Views were phenomenal. Even though we were only on the second floor, we still had wonderful views of the Ocean and Sunrise.
Final Thoughts
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Delta Hotels Daytona Beach Oceanfront. All of the Staff that we interacted with were Friendly and Welcoming. The Hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast at the Oceanview Terrace Bar & Grill was Delicious. We love the Historical Pictures in the Hallway, and always find a new detail in them when we walk past. And the Views? They are Amazing.
