We, 3 Lee’s Travel Adventures, enjoyed heading to Smiling Scoops Ice Cream Shop on December 13, 2025 for some Delicious Sweet Treats. We even got to meet the Grinch while we were there.
Join Us as We Explore and Experience some of the Christmas Wonder, Charm, and Magic in South Carolina. We have visited Multiple Towns and Cities this Christmas Season, and wanted to share with you all the Festive Sights that we found.
Conway
Located approximately 15 miles from Myrtle Beach, SC, the City of Conway sits on the banks of the Waccamaw River. This River Town is becoming known for it’s Seasonal Transformations. Beginning in November, City Officials and Residents begin creating a Christmas Wonderland in Downtown, which is complete by the First Thursday in December. The Festivities run throughout most of the month of December, Weather Permitting, and feature Train Rides, a Carnival, and More. Featuring Amazing Window Displays, a Christmas Market on the Town Green, a Choir of Angels, and More, the City of Conway is a Winter Wonderland for Christmas Fans. Focused Mostly in the Downtown Area, you will also find Stores, and Parks around Town putting their best festive foot forward.
Visiting Conway during the day is a beautiful sight, but exploring at night adds an extra bonus. The Conway Celebration of Lights is located in Downtown Conway. This Drive-Through Light Show is Gorgeous and keeps expanding each year. Plus, all of the Christmas Lights all over Downtown make for Beautiful Sights. There are also some Gorgeous Photo Opportunities.
Florence County, SC: Coward, Scranton, and More
The Smaller Towns around Florence County, SC also get in on the Christmas Action. From Angel lined Streets, to Giant Christmas Trees, and Personal Christmas Displays, you can certainly feel the Christmas Spirit in the Air. Especially along 52 between Florence and Lake City.
Florence National Cemetery
We always remember those who gave the Ultimate Gift of their Lives for Our Freedom. Florence, SC is home to one of our nations, National Cemeteries. Each Year the Wreaths Across America Organization places a fresh Christmas Wreath on the Graves of those buried in our National Cemeteries across the Country. We make a point of visiting the Florence National Cemetery each year after the Wreaths have been placed. It is a Sad, but Beautiful Sight.
Lake City
Main Street and the Surrounding Areas of Lake City, South Carolina are decked out for the Christmas Season. The Shops along Main Street craft some Amazing Window Displays. The City puts up a Beautiful Christmas Tree, Snowflake Lights, and More. Even the Local Fire Department gets in on the Action.
