Easter 2025 occurred during the week of Jeep Beach. We knew that we would be staying in Daytona Beach that week. However, since there were no Official Jeep Beach Activities that day, we made some Annual Passholder Reservations and headed off to the Magic Kingdom. We had a few priorities on our to-do list for the day, like meet Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny, see the Easter Pre-Parade Cavalcade, and check out the Easter Eggs at the Grand Floridian. We decide to have lunch at The Diamond Horseshoe, which is one of the few locations that serves a Traditional American Holiday Meal at Walt Disney World Year-Round. You can learn more about our Easter Sunday at Walt Disney World by clicking here.

Location of The Diamond Horseshoe

The Diamond Horseshoe is located in the Liberty Square section of the Magic Kingdom, near it’s shared border with Frontierland. This building has been many things over the years, but it has always kept it’s wonderful theming. When you walk up to The Diamond Horseshoe, a Grand Front Porch that spans the entire front of the building welcomes you. The Porch connects this restaurant with it’s sister restaurant, Liberty Tree Tavern.

Theming and Atmosphere

The Grandeur of this Old West Inspired Music Hall greets you the moment you enter the building at The Diamond Horseshoe in the Magic Kingdom.

Upon entering the building, you will first pass through the Foyer Area before entering the Dining Room. The Dining Room is large, and in a Circular-ish shape. Inspired by and themed after the Old West Music Halls of American History, This Restaurant can truly make you feel like you have stepped back in time to America’s Colonial as well as Wild West days. Along the left wall as you enter the dining room, you will find a long bar lined with decorative mirrors, which is where the servers fix your drinks, place orders and such things. The seating capacity consists of only tables and chairs. You will find the Restaurant Walls adorned with Photos and Posters of Performers, Programs, and Music from a By-Gone Era that would have once filled Music Halls across the Country with Laughter, Joy, and Excitement. On each side of the Stage are Balconies that have one table on each.

The Highlight and Focal Point of the Dining Room is the Large Performance Stage. It’s Star is the World-Famous Self-Playing Piano, which entertains Diners periodically during their meal. The Sounds of the Wurlitzer player piano fills the hall with vibrant sounds, while also providing a nod to the restaurants former entertainment history as the Golden Horseshoe Revue. While the Music Hall no longer hosts a live show, it’s new life as a Dining Venue still offers Guests the opportunity to experience the delightful self-playing piano that runs on perforated paper rolls, and is a tribute to the Buildings Past.

Experience the World Famous Self-Playing Piano while you dine on a Scrumptious three course meal at The Diamond Horseshoe.

Arrival, Check-In, and Seating

We made our way to Liberty Square at around 11:40 am. On the day of our visit, The Diamond Horseshoe did not open until 12:00 pm. We decided to wait in front of the restaurant, until we could check-in for our 12:05 pm dining reservation. To our Surprise and Delight, we were able to watch the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade when it passed in front of the restaurant at 11:50 am.

“Come and Get It!” The Ringing of the Dinner Bells, at The Diamond Horseshoe, is just one of the tributes to the early days of the United States of America.

Afterwards, we checked in for our Lunch Reservation. To Officially Open the Restaurant for the Day, the servers came out and rang their dinner bells. Our Family was the first family seated in the restaurant on April 20, 2025 at approximately 11:54 am. We had the pleasure of being seated in the Balcony on the Left-Hand side of the stage. We loved this spot because it gave us space to move around, and we had a great view of the dining room as well as the player piano. Our Server’s name was Philippe. He was Great.

Meal Thoughts

Appetizers

The Frontier Starters at The Diamond Horseshoe are Fantastic.
The Frontier Starters at The Diamond Horseshoe are Fantastic.

Your Meal starts with your drinks and some Frontier Starters, the Diamond Horseshoe Salad and Rolls. Mama and I choose to have Iced Tea, that we sweetened with Sugar Packets. Daddy choose to have a Diet Coke. The Salad comes with Mixed Greens, Apples, Cranberries, and Cheese tossed in their House-Made Dressing. The Salad did come with the dressing already on it. We all enjoyed the salad, and found the ingredients to be fresh. I am not a fan of dressing, but I did not mind this salad with the dressing already on it. The Rolls were warm and buttery. We also really enjoyed them.

Main Course

The Main Course is called the Saloon Feast. It features Roasted Turkey, Pot Roast, and Oven-Roasted Pork. The Sides are Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-Made Macaroni & Cheese. We knew that we would not eat the seasonal vegetables, so we requested for our server not to bring them. Our Family enjoyed the Roasted Turkey, and Oven-Roasted Pork, but found that the Pot Roast was our Families Favorite of the Meats. We even requested more of the Pot Roast. I was not a fan of the sides, so I choose to have the Salad and Rolls as my sides. Mama and Daddy enjoyed the Mashed Potatoes as well as Mac and Cheese. They said that the Stuffing reminded them of Stove-Top. Served Hot and Fresh, the Main Course was Wonderful. Our Server kept checking on us throughout our meal to see if we were okay, as well as if we wanted more of anything.

Dessert

The Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake was a Scrumptious way to end our Meal at The Diamond Horseshoe.

For Dessert, you get Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake. This is a warm Vanilla Toffee Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream on top, and Chocolate Sauce drizzled across both. Ours also had Chocolate pieces sprinkled over it. Mama and Daddy both enjoyed the Cake, and we all enjoyed the Ice Cream. We loved how they serve the Cake in a Small Cast Iron Skillet.

Final Thoughts

We, 3 Lee's Travel Adventures, LOVED the Food, Atmosphere, and Decor of The Diamond Horseshoe. We truly had a Wonderful Experience.

Our Family has always enjoyed the food at Liberty Tree Tavern and the Diamond Horseshoe. And this visit was no exception. We felt like this was a Wonderful Easter Lunch. The Food was Fresh and Delicious. Our Server, Philippe, was very Friendly, Attentive, and made sure that we had anything we needed. We love the Decor and Ambiance of this Restaurant. It is Recommended by Walt Disney World and Us that you make Dining Reservations if you want to eat at The Diamond Horseshoe for Lunch or Dinner. The Diamond Horseshoe occasionally offers a Walk-Up Waitlist, but that is not guaranteed, especially during Busy Times. It is better to have a Reservation than to be turned away due to them being at Seating Capacity on the Day of Your Visit.

We love the Home Cooked Menu offered at The Diamond Horseshoe, and will definitely be eating their again. We would recommend The Diamond Horseshoe to anyone looking to have a Traditional American Holiday Meal at Walt Disney World, no matter when they will be visiting. If you are unable to get reservations at The Diamond Horseshoe, we also recommend it’s sister restaurant, Liberty Tree Tavern.
